Mohamed Fouad, Al Ahly gymnastics team head coach, spoke about the pre-season preparations of our players ahead of an exciting season. We do not know yet the start dates of the new season but our players already started their preparations to reach the new season in perfect shape.  

“The previous season’s competitions ended in different dates. The start dates of this season’s competitions have not been set yet. We planned out a special program for all teams ahead of the new season. We want our players to be fully prepared on both physical and technical levels.”

“We started our preparations with intense fitness exercises. Now we are focusing on the technical work.”

“Every age has its own preparations, especially on fitness levels as every age needs a certain amount of fitness development. Every team has its own program in order to improve the performance of our players on both technical and fitness levels.”

“We will compete in three competitions in the new season; the Cairo League, the Egyptian Cup, and the National League. Our goal is to win every competition that we participate in. Each team has many talented players and we are working on picking the best players to represent the club.”

“We have a fully-equipped hall in the club’s branch in Gezira and another hall will be inaugurated in the club’s branch in Sheikh Zayed, which will help in broadening the base of players who practice gymnastics.

Fouad concluded by saying that the club’s board of directors, headed by president Mahmoud El Khatib, always provides great support for the gymnastics sector in the club.
